Enormous Energy which is released during nuclear fission or nuclear fission is often referred to as Nuclear Energy. While this nuclear energy is being processed they do not produce any green house gas emission and but can heat to produce steam which is used by turbine to produce electricity.

Technically speaking Nuclear energy is a form of elemental transmutation. As we know that every element in this Universe is made of atoms. We have nucleus in the middle of atom and it contains protons and neutrons. Electron revolves around the nucleus of the atom and has unit negative charge. Proton has unit positive charge and neutron has neutral charge. Nucleus of atom is bound with nuclear forces which keep the nuclear matter entangled together. The process of breaking the nucleus of atom using nuclear physics to two or more smaller nuclei with some byproducts particles is called nuclear fission.

Advantages of using Nuclear energy

  • Saves fossil fuels: – Fossils take millions of years in formation. They are source of petroleum products. If we do not switch to alternative sources of energy we might lose all fossil fuel and will have no fossil left for extracting petroleum products.
  • Lowers global warming:- As nuclear energy do not involve any green house gas in its production hence is effective way to produce energy through alternative means. In this way we can also reduce the global warming by switching to nuclear energy than getting energy from fossil fuels.
  • Lowers carbon contents in air:-Burning coal produces green house gases like carbon di oxide, carbon mono oxide etc. These gases are very harmful and cause respiratory diseases and breathing problems. They adversely affect the climate as well and have caused acid ran in many parts of the world.

Disadvantages of nuclear energies

It is not that there is no risk at all using nuclear energy.

Nuclear accidents do happen

The nuclear accidents are measured in various levels depending how much effect it has on nature and human. We have suffered 19 nuclear failures until now on earth. They include Three mile Island in 1979 , Fukushima ,6 in US 5 in Japan and 3 each in UK and Russia. Nuclear Pollution

Just because nuclear waste is invisible does not mean it is clean. It can be both expensive to eradicate, and dangerous if the measures are not taken properly. Immediately after nuclear accidents nuclear fall out starts which can have whole generation of family suffering from common diseases.

Measures to avoid Nuclear accidents

Strong military protection to avoid war accidents. It is seen during war the target is chosen on those infrastructure which can impact for centuries. This is the first target of destruction hence should be protected with advanced military equipments radar etc.

Avoid nuclear accidents: – Installation of filtered and ventilated systems allows to easy diffusely to nuclear discharge in environment. It should be done in such way that nuclear harmful waste is lessen before getting in contact with environmental air.
